Bioptron Light Therapy
Dr Viki Dioszegi BVSc BHSc
Light is essential for life and is a regulator of all biological processes.
Bioptron light is a worldwide patented medical device which emits modified polarized laser light that is similar to the sun without the UV spectrum.
Light therapy works on a cellular level realigning the cell membrane’s electrical potential to the healthy -70eV so cells can start to communicate with each other and are able to receive nutrients again. This also reactivates cellular respiration and energy generation (by increasing mitochondrial ATP production). Ultimately the cell regeneration process can begin. The light directly influences red blood cells and nerve endings and triggers secondary responses which are not limited to the treated skin area but also the entire body.
During treatments there is increased microcirculation and tissue oxygenation, almost instant pain relief, increased activation of tissue defence mechanisms and harmonising of all metabolic processes.
Light therapy is non-contact, has no side effects and there are no contraindications. Bioptron is useful for:
- Wound healing especially larger areas, infected sites, non-healing ulcers, burns, and skin grafts. The Bioptron light can cut healing time to one third and reduce scarring.
- Stubborn, difficult to heal ear, skin and paw problems.
- A drug free way of treating stubborn fungal/bacterial/parasitic infections of the skin.
- Post-operative care - to reduce pain, swelling and complications.
- Our clinic uses the Bioptron light therapy as a routine for 3-7 days after all major surgeries.
- Soft tissue injuries – repairing tendon, muscle, nerve tissue.
- Disc disease, paralyses and peripheral nerve problems.
- Fractures, enhances healing
- Dental procedures and gum healing.
- Arthritis and degenerative joint problems
